Privacy policy
Effective November 3, 2026
SetKit Poster is a personal tool, used only by Zach Martina to post his own videos to his own YouTube channel. This policy explains what it does with Google user data.
YouTube API Services
SetKit Poster uses YouTube API Services. Using it means agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
What it accesses
With the permissions granted at sign-in (upload videos, view the YouTube account, manage its videos), SetKit Poster accesses:
- the YouTube channel's name and id;
- the channel's list of uploads: each video's id, title, privacy and publish time;
- the videos it uploads, with their title, description, privacy, category, made-for-kids setting and publish time.
How it uses it
Only to upload, schedule, move or take down the channel owner's own videos, and to keep his posting record, which stops the same material being posted too close together. It is not used for advertising or for any other purpose.
Where it is stored
- The sign-in Google gives it is stored in the macOS Keychain on the owner's Mac, and is sent only to Google.
- The posting record (each video's id, link, publish time, length and caption) is kept in files on the owner's Mac and in his own iCloud Drive, where his own iPhone and iPad read it.
- SetKit Poster has no server of its own. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
Sharing
Google user data is not shared with, sold to, or transferred to anyone. No third party serves content or advertising through SetKit Poster.
Cookies and device storage
These pages set no cookies and use no analytics. On the owner's Mac, the app keeps its sign-in in the Keychain and its posting record in files, as described above.
Google API Services User Data Policy
SetKit Poster's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Keeping and deleting it
The sign-in is kept until it is removed from the Keychain, and the posting record until its owner deletes it. Deleting either removes only SetKit Poster's own copy. It does not affect anything stored by YouTube.
Removing its access
Access can be revoked at any time on Google's security settings page, security.google.com/settings/security/permissions, by choosing SetKit Poster and removing its access. SetKit Poster can then no longer read or change the channel.
Changes
If SetKit Poster ever uses Google user data in a new way, this policy will be updated first, and the date above will change.
